Ladies 5ths, 6ths and 8ths advance in Cup

The Ladies 5ths, 6ths and 8ths have made safe passage into the Qtr Finals of their respective Cups. The 6ths and 8ths play their Qtr Final tie this weekend 17th Jan against Loreto and Muckross respectively, while the 5ths play their tie next weekend.

Irish Hockey League. Late goals from Aoife Sherriff and Shona Doyle secure an excellent away draw to Ballymoney in this Pool A game. Pembroke had earlier fallen behind to goals from Diane McNeill and Laura Mullan but Pembroke's corners proved to be telling with clinical finishing from Sherriff and Doyle to save the day.

EHL – Pembroke Wanderers v HC Rotterdam

Pembroke Wanderers 1 (A Sothern) HC Rotterdam 6 (J Hertzberger 3, Paul Maas, Rob van den Horst, P Burrows) Rotterdam's earlier 6-0 win over Scottish outfit Kelburne on Saturday meant, in the wake of Pembroke’s 4-2 win over the same opposition, the sole relevance of the final group game was to decide who qualified in top position. The game saw former former Irish captain Henderson emerge from retirement as David Harte was unable to play due to exams, but Dutch skill and speed of play told in the end.

EHL – Pembroke Wanderers v Kelburn

Pembroke 4 Kelburne 2 - EHL Round 1.1 Highlights 2009/2010 Alan Sothern hit 4 goals to give Pembroke a vital win over the Scottish Champions, and a good chance of progressing through to the EHL last 16. It was the first time an Irish Club has won a game in the EHL.
