IHA Introductory Coaching Courses for Volunteers – this weekend
The IHA have announced details of an Introductory Coaching Courses for Volunteers. This course is designed to be an introduction to hockey coaching for volunteers and parents. Whilst still paying heed to the skills required to be taught to beginners, the course will also focus on the delivery and organisation of coaching sessions.
The course specifically looks at the coaching needs of those with a limited background in hockey but who may require the coaching skills to impart their knowledge. The course is 6 hours in duration and focuses on delivering basic hockey skills to beginners and learners.
· St. Columba’s College, Dublin – May 30th – 10am to 4pm
· Crescent Comprehensive, Limerick – June 10th & 11th – 6.30pm to 9.30pm each evening
This course is also a requirement to come onto the Level 1 Course so is a great way to kick start your coaching career.
For more information on the course, please go to the IHA’s Development Centre website on www.hockey.ie/development.
