No Christmas hangover for the Ladies 8ths !
Georgia – our Ladies 8ths captain reports…
After our last encounter with 3 Rock Rovers ended in a 1-0 loss, Pembroke 8ths started the year with a comeback – a 3-1 win with goals from Fleur, Gill and Tina. We were very grateful to have Alva and Lydia help out for the first half of the match and Carole who came along despite feeling unwell – you guys were lifesavers! I feel like we are really coming together as a team and today we welcomed a new player to our fold, Elaine Crosse, who proved to be a great person to have in a bind. Our player of the match went to Anna McEvoy who fought hard and showed great skill.
Thanks, as always, to our match coach Barbara Treacy for her help and also to Jude for her support. What a great start to the year!
