Brendon Carolan appointed Mens 1st’s Coach, Director of Coaching
The Executive Committee are delighted to announce the appointment of Brendon Carolan as the Men’s first team coach and Director of Coaching for the coming season.
Brendon is a High Performance FIH Qualified coach, and was awarded South African Coach of the year for 2009. Brendon is currently the Men’s Head Coach of the Province of KwaZulu Natal in Durban, South Africa, who were the State winners in 2009, and is Director of Hockey at Glenwood High School in Durban. He has also been Head Coach for South Africa U17, U18 and U19A Teams from 2008 to date.
Brendon Carolan
Brendon brings a wealth of coaching experience with him and he has the calibre to take on the men’s first side as they head into another busy and challenging season, of defending the Leinster Senior League, the Leinster Senior Cup, the Irish Indoor Cup and the Irish Hockey League, and also preparing for the first round of the EHL in the Autumn.
We are delighted that Brendon will be also be taking on the role as Director of Coaching for the club. In our discussions with him, he is very passionate about this role as he has had a lot of experience in this area. We are confident that all of the club, mens and ladies sections and of course the Colts/Fillies section, will all benefit from his wealth of experience.
