Pembroke to meet Germans in EHL KO16
Pembroke Men will play Rot-Weiss Köln in their EuroHockey League KO16 match in Rotterdam on Friday 2, April 2010. Passage to the last 16 was secured via their (and Ireland’s) first ever win in the EuroHockey League in Barcelona last year, as Alan Sothern struck four times to oust Scottish champions Kelburne 4-2.
Check out our opponents in the video below. 2009 WorldHockey Player of the Year nominee Christopher Zeller scored seven times on his EHL debut against HC Bra of Italy, but Club Egara, of Spain (who Pembroke played in the EHL in 2007) proved to be a far tougher contest for German champions Rot-Weiss Köln (wearing red in the video below).
